NON-GMO, Organic Zesty Vegan Tofu Bowl

All my clients know that my secret to looking ultra toned, strong and keeping a slim waist is because I cook almost all my meals. But what do I eat? For the first time ever, I am going to share one of my own food creations-A NON-GMO,Organic, Zesty Tofu Bowl!

Although I DON'T BELIEVE IN DIETS OR ONE SOLUTION to help lose or maintain a SLIM WAIST, here is something that has worked for me and has HEALTHY BENEFITS for the body. This is something that can be eaten for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It is tasty, zesty, LOW on CALORIES and highly NUTRIENT DENSE. Perfect to fuel you POST-WORKOUT, replenish and help build protein, and best of all, SATISFY YOUR HUNGER cravings.

NON-GMO, Organic Zesty Vegan Tofu Bowl

Ingredients:

  • yellow onion

  • 2 limes

  • 3 garlic cloves

  • 2 dashes cayenne pepper (1 dash is flipping the container)

  • 3 dashes adobo

  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional)

  • 1 tbsp turmeric

  • 1 cap full apple cider vinegar

  • 1 package Non-GMO organic tofu (extra firm or however you prefer)

  • 3 veggies (2 dark greens/1 root or tuber)

  • 1 serving size hemp seeds (optional)

Instructions:

All you need is a medium-sized pan, stove top, and utensils!

  1. Set pan on medium flame and add oil or water on (don’t let pan get too hot)

  2. When the pan is warm add the cayenne pepper and heat for a few seconds until fragrant (if you start coughing you probably burned it a bit, but that's fine!). Immediately add diced onion, garlic, a dash of adobo, and sauté until light brown or fragrant. Remove pan from heat.

  3. In a large bowl (or sink), drain as much liquid out of the tofu as possible by squeezing. Poke a few holes in a tofu with a knife or a fork and add 1 cap full of apple cider vinegar (spread evenly). Spread turmeric evenly on the top and back side of the tofu. Place the pan back on stove on high heat.

  4. Add the entire tofu on pan and crumble with hands. Add the rest of the adobo and cumin over tofu. Let the tofu sit for a minute on high heat and then thoroughly mix once. Let the tofu sit on high heat few minutes until cooked thoroughly, mix to make sure it is not sticking to pan. Once tofu is slightly crispy add 1 fresh squeezed lime over tofu and mix. Put flame on medium heat and add the three veggies, remaining 1 lime and mix once. Cook for another minute. Ideas for veggies (spinach, beat leaves, ginger root)

  5. For my #athletes #bodybuilders I recommend eating the entire portion (I do!), for my toning or weight loss clients I recommend eating half the portion and saving the other half for another day (easy meal prep!). Garnish with 1 serving of hemp seeds.
